Las Vegas - Was never really a fan of the old Star Trek show with William Shatner, but this week, gonna fanboy all over Captain Kirk Cousins and the Vikings. It has been a strange ride for Minnesota, starting out at 0-3, then coming back to win three of the last four. And after losing arguably the BEST WR in the NFL, Justin Jefferson, the Purple People are hanging tough. Jordan Addison, the rookie out of USC, has eased the pain, grabbing seven balls for 123 yards and 2 TDs last week against a very, VERY tough 49er defense. Speaking of defense, the Vikes have allowed only 30 points the last two games, and should be able to handle Jordan Love. Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur said, "He's done enough for me to show me that it's all right there. The better everybody is around him, the better he's going to look. Our confidence in him is not wavering one bit." Nice job of coach speak, but the reality is, Love is hitting on only 57% of his passes, has accounted for 1,263 yards, 10 TDs and 7 INTs. On the other side of the field, Captain Kirk is hitting at 69%, has gobbled up 2,057 yards, with 16 TDs and just 5 INTs. And with RB Aaron Jones and C Josh Myers both OUT for the Packers, we expect Minny's defense to look even more wicked. Color me PURPLE baby!

Wondering why the Over/Under total in the Broncos/Chiefs game has dropped from 47.5 down to 45.5? The forecast, according to the National Weather Service for the game in Denver, calls for a high of 28 degrees, a low of 14, with a 70% chance of snow showers. THAT'S WHY!

For your wagering pleasure, here is your spread stat of the day. Taking you to the AFC East matchup between the Patriots and Dolphins. New England appears to be coming to the end of the Bill Belichick era, and the recent work against the spread is HORRIBLE. The Pats have covered just two of seven so far this season, and three of the last 11 (21%) dating back to the middle of 2022.
