roses on parade

Las Vegas - Going bowling today and the early bowl games are all too complicated, with too many what- if's to thrown down on. So, we head to Pasadena for a look at the Rose Bowl between Penn State and Utah. Lemme take you back to last year's Rose when Utah was beating Ohio State in the 4th quarter before Ute's QB Cam Rising was knocked out with a head injury. The Buckeyes came back to squeeze out a 48-45 win. Tough, tough, tough loss, which is one of the reasons why we're thinking that Utah will be ready to rock the Rose and beat Penn State. Rising is healthy and was fabulous against USC in the Pac 12 Championship Game, hitting on 22 of 34 for 310 yards with 3 TDs and ZERO INTs. And it has been that kind of a season for Cam, throwing for 2,939 yards (66.2%) with 25 TDs and 7 INTs. Oh, and by the way, he also ran for 409 yards at an average of six yards a pop. You're probably wondering why we're playing against a Penn State team that comes in on a 4-0 roll. We looked at the teams the Nittany Lions beat, and were NOT at all impressed. The only winner in the group was Maryland (7-5), while the rest, Michigan State (5-7), Indiana (4-8) and Rutgers (4-8), were all a bunch of losers. Last time we looked, Utah was ranked #7 in the AP poll, and the last time we looked, Penn State was on an 0-10 run against Top 10 teams. OH & TEN! Expecting my bank account to be RISING with Cam and the rest of the Utes!
