roy
Las Vegas - No doubt that LSU's Joe Burrow will be the #1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft, but will he be the Offensive Rookie of the Year? Hmmmmmm. Of course, you CAN BET ON IT! And Burrow is the favorite to win the ROY at 5/2. However, unless he pulls an Eli Manning, and demands that a team other than the Bengals draft him, his prospects look dim, very dim, like wearing a pair of Ray-Bans in a basement with a broken lightbulb. Do not have any connection, or, sponsorship with Ray-Ban, but I'm willing to talk. Quick note about Eli. Daddy Archie Manning told the Chargers that Eli would NOT play for them if they drafted him. So, the Lightning Bolts drafted him, then traded him to the Giants for Philip Rivers. You listening Papa Burrow?
So, not gonna throw any of my chips at Burrow, although I do LOVE the kid. QBs have won the Offensive ROY in five of the last 10 years (Sam Bradford, Cam Newton, Robert Griffen III, Dak Prescott, Kyler Murray), with four RBs (Eddie Lacy, Todd Gurley, Alvin Kamara, Saquon Barkley) and only one WR (Odell Beckham Jr.).
Looking down the QB list, you got Tua Tagovailoa at 6/1, then Justin Herbert at 15/1, Jordan Love at 35/1, Jalen Hurts and Jake Fromm both at 50/1 and Jacob Eason at 70/1. Tua, Herbert and Love are probably all 1st round picks.
Gonna show some LOVE to Jordan Love, especially if Mel Kiper is on the money with him going to the Patriots. Just imagine Love with a team that'll be in the hunt for the AFC East title, and the QB whisperer, Josh McDaniels tutoring the rookie. Just so you know, Love is 6'4" and 225 lbs. And if you remember what's his name, the new QB down in Tampa, oh yea, Tom something, he is also 6'4" and yup, 225 lbs. Not gonna go crazy, but will throw $25 bones at Love for a sweet return of $875.
If you prefer an RB, would advise dropping a few pennies on Georgia's D'Andre Swift at 8/1, basically an Alvin Kamara clone. Swift is 5'9" and 215 lbs, while Kamara, the 2017 ROY, is 5'10" and 215 lbs.
