Recap - Hornets Defeat New Orleans 123-92

The battle between the Hornets and Pelicans didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as New Orleans was handed a 123-92 defeat on Saturday at Spectrum Center.

Charlotte won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +1.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 231.0.

LaMelo Ball had 25 points for Charlotte and Miles Bridges chipped in with 22 points. LaMelo Ball had 7 assists for the Hornets, while Moussa Diabate was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 13 boards.

New Orleans got 28 points from Zion Williamson in a losing cause and another 16 points from Trey Murphy III. Trey Murphy III contributed 5 assists for the Pelicans, while Zion Williamson had 11 rebounds.

The Hornets hit the break winning 63-45 before taking care of business in the second half.

Charlotte heads into a battle against the Lakers. New Orleans, meanwhile, will have their next action against Toronto.
