Recap - Ball State Defeats Bowling Green 81-80

Ball State grabbed a 81-80 win over Bowling Green on Saturday, behind a 21-point effort from Luke Bumbalough at John E. Worthen Arena.

Ball State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +2.0-point spread as underdogs.

Ball State got 20 points from Payton Sparks and another 11 points from Jaylin Sellers. Luke Bumbalough contributed 4 assists, while Miryne Thomas cleaned the glass with 14 rebounds.

Bowling Green got a 18-point performance from Trey Diggs, who was supported by 15 points from Daeqwon Plowden. Kaden Metheny had 3 assists in a losing cause for Bowling Green, while Gabe O'Neal grabbed 6 rebounds.

Ball State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Bowling Green had a 38-36 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, Ball State takes its act home to face Kent State looking for another win. For Bowling Green, they head home to face Miami-Ohio.
