Recap - Duke Defeats North Carolina 87-67

The battle between Duke and North Carolina didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as North Carolina was handed a 87-67 defeat on Saturday at Dean E. Smith Center.

Duke won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -3.5-point spread as favorites.

AJ Griffin had 27 points for Duke and Paolo Banchero chipped in with 13 points. Wendell Moore Jr. had 5 assists for them, while Paolo Banchero was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.

North Carolina got 21 points from Brady Manek in a losing cause and another 12 points from Armando Bacot. Caleb Love contributed 4 assists for them, while Brady Manek had 6 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed Duke were victorious, as the score was 39-29 at the break.

Next game, Duke takes its act home to face Virginia looking for another win. For North Carolina, they head on the road to face Clemson.
