Wright State Falls 66-54 Against Akron - Game Recap

Akron got 19 points from Xavier Castaneda en route to a 66-54 victory over Wright State on Wednesday at James A. Rhodes Arena.

Akron was the ATS victor, as they covered the -6.5-point spread as a favorite.

Akron got 14 points from Tavari Johnson and another 13 points from Sammy Hunter. Trendon Hankerson contributed 4 assists, while Enrique Freeman cleaned the glass with 15 rebounds.

Wright State got 16 points from Trey Calvin in a losing cause and another 12 points from AJ Braun. Tim Finke contributed 6 assists for them, while Tim Finke had 9 rebounds.

Akron was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Akron won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-32.

Akron looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Maine. Wright State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Northwestern Ohio.
