UMass-Lowell Defeats NJIT 90-61 - Recap
The battle between UMass-Lowell and NJIT didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as NJIT was handed a 90-61 defeat on Saturday at Costello Athletic Center.
Max Brooks had 18 points for UMass-Lowell and Everette Hammond chipped in with 17 points. Mikey Watkins had 4 assists for them, while Everette Hammond was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.
NJIT got a 11-point performance from Adam Hess, who was supported by 9 points from Raheim Sullivan. Paul McMillian IV had 2 assists in a losing cause for NJIT, while Kevin Osawe grabbed 10 rebounds.
UMass-Lowell was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMass-Lowell won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-26.
UMass-Lowell heads into a battle against Hartford. NJIT, meanwhile, will have their next action against UMBC.
