Cornell vs Columbia Final: 102-85 - Recap

It sure wasn't going to be a low-scoring affair and Cornell made sure they came out on the winning end on Monday, grabbing a 102-85 victory over Columbia at Francis S. Levien Gymnasium.

Cornell won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -13.0-point spread as favorites.

Cornell got 14 points from Guy Ragland Jr. and another 13 points from Chris Manon. Nazir Williams contributed 6 assists, while Marcus Filien cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.

Columbia got 12 points from Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa in a losing cause and another 11 points from Zine Eddine Bedri. Kenny Noland contributed 6 assists for them, while Blair Thompson had 5 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed Cornell were victorious, as the score was 42-39 at the break.

Columbia had a 35-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Cornell heads into a battle against Harvard. Columbia, meanwhile, will have their next action against Brown.
