Northwestern Falls 87-80 to Iowa - Recap
Josh Dix scored 24 points leading Iowa to a 87-80 victory over Northwestern at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Saturday.
Iowa won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +2.0-point spread as underdogs.
Iowa got 23 points from Payton Sandfort and another 12 points from Ben Krikke. Tony Perkins contributed 14 assists, while Owen Freeman cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
Northwestern got 27 points from Boo Buie in a losing cause and another 20 points from Brooks Barnhizer. Boo Buie contributed 7 assists for them, while Brooks Barnhizer had 6 rebounds.
Iowa was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Iowa had a 26-18 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Iowa takes its act home to face Illinois looking for another win. For Northwestern, they head on the road to face Michigan State.
