Clemson vs Davidson Final: 68-65 - Recap
Clemson grabbed a 68-65 win over Davidson on Sunday, behind a 17-point effort from Joseph Girard III at Harrah's Cherokee Center.
Clemson did not, however, defeat Davidson against the spread, which closed at -8.0 at most sportsbooks.
PJ Hall had 17 points for Clemson and RJ Godfrey chipped in with 10 points. Joseph Girard III had 5 assists for them, while RJ Godfrey was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.
Davidson got 12 points from Grant Huffman in a losing cause and another 9 points from Connor Kochera. Grant Huffman contributed 5 assists for them, while Sean Logan had 7 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Davidson were victorious, as the score was 28-24 at the break.
Davidson had a 33-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Clemson takes its act home to face Boise State looking for another win. For Davidson, they head on the road to face East Tennessee State.
