Nebraska blew out Southern on Monday, running up the score in a 77-43 win at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Nebraska got 20 points from Connor Essegian and another 11 points from Brice Williams. Rollie Worster contributed 6 assists, while Berke Buyuktuncel cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Southern got 13 points from Jayce Depron in a losing cause and another 8 points from Derrick Tezeno. Joe Manning contributed 3 assists for them, while Andre Nunley had 8 rebounds.
Nebraska was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Nebraska had a 44-36 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Nebraska takes its act home to face UCLA looking for another win. For Southern, they head on the road to face Texas Southern.
