Mercer Bears vs The Citadel Bulldogs Recap - Mercer Wins 62-52
Mercer grabbed a 62-52 win over The Citadel on Wednesday, behind a 21-point effort from Ahmad Robinson at McAlister Field House.
Mercer won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -7.0-point spread as favorites.
Mercer got 13 points from Marcus Overstreet and another 10 points from Brady Shoulders. Ahmad Robinson contributed 7 assists, while Marcus Overstreet cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
The Citadel got 23 points from Brody Fox in a losing cause and another 14 points from Christian Moore. Eze Wali contributed 3 assists for them, while Sola Adebisi had 8 rebounds.
Mercer led at halftime, 29-26.
Mercer won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-33.
Next game, Mercer takes its act home to face UNC Greensboro looking for another win. For The Citadel, they head on the road to face Chattanooga.
