Recap - Canisius Defeats Fairfield 78-67

Canisius got 31 points from Paul McMillan IV en route to a 78-67 victory over Fairfield on Saturday at Leo D. Mahoney Arena.

Canisius won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +10.0-point spread as underdogs.

Tana Kopa had 21 points for Canisius and Jasman Sangha chipped in with 13 points. Anthony Benard had 5 assists for them, while Cam Palesse was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.

Fairfield got a 17-point performance from Jamie Bergens, who was supported by 16 points from Prophet Johnson. Deon Perry had 3 assists in a losing cause for Fairfield, while Prophet Johnson grabbed 6 rebounds.

Canisius was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Fairfield won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 28-26.

Next game, Canisius takes its act home to face Sacred Heart looking for another win. For Fairfield, they head on the road to face Manhattan.
