Merrimack vs Sacred Heart Final: 66-65 - Recap

Merrimack grabbed a 66-65 win over Sacred Heart on Friday, behind a 23-point effort from Adam Clark at William Pitt Center - West Gym.

Merrimack did not, however, defeat Sacred Heart against the spread, which closed at -2.5 at most sportsbooks.

Bryan Etumnu had 12 points for Merrimack and Matt Becht chipped in with 8 points. Adam Clark had 5 assists for them, while Adam Clark was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 5 boards.

Sacred Heart got a 17-point performance from Anquan Hill, who was supported by 15 points from Tanner Thomas. Mekhi Conner had 8 assists in a losing cause for Sacred Heart, while Tanner Thomas grabbed 9 rebounds.

Merrimack was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Sacred Heart had a 39-25 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Merrimack looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Manhattan. Sacred Heart will aim to get back on the winning track at Mount St. Mary's.
