Hampton cruised to victory on Wednesday, running Regent out of the gym and running up a 108-65 score at Hampton Convocation Center.
Hampton got 23 points from Kyrese Mullen and another 13 points from Etienne Strothers. Tyler Rice contributed 5 assists, while Kyrese Mullen cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Regent got 23 points from Christian Brown in a losing cause and another 14 points from Darrin Clark. Brendan Goods contributed 5 assists for them, while Antoine Brown had 7 rebounds.
Hampton was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Hampton won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 56-24.
