Recap - Hawaii Defeats Cal Poly 68-55

Hawaii got 19 points from Gytis Nemeiksa as they ran past Cal Poly 68-55 on Sunday at SimpliFI Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.

Hawaii won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -5.5-point spread as favorites.

Tom Beattie had 15 points for Hawaii and Tanner Christensen chipped in with 11 points. Gytis Nemeiksa had 4 assists for them, while Tanner Christensen was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.

Cal Poly got a 15-point performance from Owen Koonce, who was supported by 8 points from Isaac Jessup. Mac Riniker had 4 assists in a losing cause for Cal Poly, while Jarred Hyder grabbed 6 rebounds.

Hawaii was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Hawaii had a 41-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Hawaii looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UC Riverside. Cal Poly will aim to get back on the winning track at UC San Diego.
