Hawaii vs Long Beach State Final: 62-60 - Recap
Hawaii grabbed a 62-60 win over Long Beach State on Friday, behind a 10-point effort from Ryan Rapp at SimpliFI Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
Hawaii did not, however, defeat Long Beach State against the spread, which closed at -10.5 at most sportsbooks.
Marcus Greene had 10 points for Hawaii and Tanner Christensen chipped in with 9 points. Tom Beattie had 3 assists for them, while Harry Rouhliadeff was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Long Beach State got 20 points from TJ Wainwright in a losing cause and another 16 points from Devin Askew. Devin Askew contributed 3 assists for them, while Devin Askew had 6 rebounds.
Hawaii was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Hawaii won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 32-16.
Hawaii looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UC Irvine. Long Beach State will aim to get back on the winning track at UC Riverside.
