Recap - New Mexico State Defeats UTEP 85-57

The battle between New Mexico State and UTEP didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as UTEP was handed a 85-57 defeat on Saturday at Don Haskins Center.

New Mexico State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +7.0-point spread as underdogs.

New Mexico State got 18 points from Zawdie Jackson and another 17 points from Robert Carpenter. Zawdie Jackson contributed 5 assists, while Peter Filipovity cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.

UTEP got 17 points from David Terrell Jr. in a losing cause and another 13 points from Otis Frazier III. David Terrell Jr. contributed 5 assists for them, while Otis Frazier III had 5 rebounds.
