Liberty Defeats UTEP 76-69 - Recap

Taelon Peter scored 23 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double, leading Liberty over UTEP, 76-69, on Saturday at Don Haskins Center.

Liberty was the ATS victor, as they covered the -1.5-point spread as a favorite.

Kaden Metheny had 13 points for Liberty and Owen Aquino chipped in with 13 points. Zach Cleveland had 7 assists for them, while Taelon Peter was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.

UTEP got a 16-point performance from Otis Frazier III, who was supported by 10 points from David Terrell Jr.. David Terrell Jr. had 7 assists in a losing cause for UTEP, while David Terrell Jr. grabbed 6 rebounds.

Liberty was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Liberty had a 35-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Next game, Liberty takes its act home to face Florida International looking for another win. For UTEP, they head on the road to face Kennesaw State.
