Trinity Baptist Falls 101-43 Against Mercer - Game Recap
The battle between Mercer and Trinity Baptist didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Trinity Baptist was handed a 101-43 defeat on Wednesday at Hawkins Arena.
Mercer got 16 points from Tyler Johnson and another 14 points from Angel Montas Jr.. Jah Nze contributed 6 assists, while Marcus Overstreet cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Trinity Baptist got a 15-point performance from Diego Fernandez, who was supported by 7 points from Ian Kanady. Xavier Rose had 2 assists in a losing cause for Trinity Baptist, while Diego Fernandez grabbed 6 rebounds.
Mercer was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Mercer won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 48-33.
Mercer looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the South Alabama. Trinity Baptist will aim to get back on the winning track at Florida A&M.
