Recap - Duke Defeats Virginia Tech 88-65

The battle between Duke and Virginia Tech didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Virginia Tech was handed a 88-65 defeat on Tuesday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Duke did not, however, defeat Virginia Tech against the spread, which closed at -24.5 at most sportsbooks.

Duke got 24 points from Cooper Flagg and another 13 points from Tyrese Proctor. Cooper Flagg contributed 6 assists, while Sion James cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.

Virginia Tech got 19 points from Tobi Lawal in a losing cause and another 10 points from Patrick Wessler. Brandon Rechsteiner contributed 4 assists for them, while Tobi Lawal had 5 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed Duke were victorious, as the score was $HalfScore at the break.

Duke had a 33-19 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Duke looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the SMU. Virginia Tech will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Miami.
