Recap - Louisville Defeats Virginia 81-67

Louisville grabbed a 81-67 win over Virginia on Saturday, behind a 19-point effort from Reyne Smith at KFC Yum! Center.

Louisville did not, however, defeat Virginia against the spread, which closed at -15.0 at most sportsbooks.

Louisville got 16 points from Terrence Edwards Jr. and another 13 points from J'Vonne Hadley. Chucky Hepburn contributed 8 assists, while James Scott cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.

Virginia got a 19-point performance from Elijah Saunders, who was supported by 10 points from Isaac McKneely. Isaac McKneely had 4 assists in a losing cause for Virginia, while Elijah Saunders grabbed 10 rebounds.

Louisville was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Louisville had a 33-28 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Louisville heads into a battle against SMU. Virginia, meanwhile, will have their next action against Boston College.
