Morgan State Bears vs UMBC Retrievers Recap - UMBC Wins 92-69
The battle between UMBC and Morgan State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Morgan State was handed a 92-69 defeat on Wednesday at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena.
UMBC got 14 points from Marcus Banks Jr. and another 11 points from Bryce Johnson. Bryce Johnson contributed 6 assists, while Marcus Banks Jr. cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
Morgan State got a 16-point performance from Amahrie Simpkins, who was supported by 16 points from Wynston Tabbs. Tytan Newton had 2 assists in a losing cause for Morgan State, while Amahrie Simpkins grabbed 11 rebounds.
UMBC was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
