Recap - Marquette Defeats Providence 78-50

Marquette cruised to victory on Tuesday, running Providence out of the gym and running up a 78-50 score at Amica Mutual Pavilion.

Marquette won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -6.5-point spread as favorites.

Marquette got 18 points from Kam Jones and another 14 points from Stevie Mitchell. Kam Jones contributed 10 assists, while David Joplin cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.

Providence got a 11-point performance from Wesley Cardet Jr., who was supported by 9 points from Jayden Pierre. Jayden Pierre had 6 assists in a losing cause for Providence, while Ryan Mela grabbed 8 rebounds.

Marquette was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Providence had a 35-33 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Marquette looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Creighton. Providence will aim to get back on the winning track at Connecticut.
