Villanova Defeats DePaul 100-56 - Recap

The battle between Villanova and DePaul didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as DePaul was handed a 100-56 defeat on Saturday at Finneran Pavilion.

Bettors who backed Villanova were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -8.5 at sportsbooks.

Eric Dixon had 25 points for Villanova and Jordan Longino chipped in with 19 points. Jhamir Brickus had 11 assists for them, while Enoch Boakye was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 14 boards.

DePaul got 13 points from Jacob Meyer in a losing cause and another 11 points from Isaiah Rivera. Jacob Meyer contributed 2 assists for them, while NJ Benson had 6 rebounds.

Villanova was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Villanova won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-26.

Next game, Villanova takes its act home to face Connecticut looking for another win. For DePaul, they head on the road to face Seton Hall.
