The battle between Norfolk State and Coppin State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Coppin State was handed a 92-69 defeat on Saturday at Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall.
Norfolk State got 21 points from Christian Ings and another 19 points from Brian Moore Jr.. Brian Moore Jr. contributed 4 assists, while Jalen Myers cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Coppin State got a 15-point performance from Toby Nnadozie, who was supported by 13 points from Jonathan Dunn. Toby Nnadozie had 3 assists in a losing cause for Coppin State, while Peter Oduro grabbed 6 rebounds.
Norfolk State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Norfolk State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 26-21.
