Winthrop Falls 84-62 to High Point - Recap
The battle between High Point and Winthrop didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Winthrop was handed a 84-62 defeat on Saturday at Qubein Center.
High Point got 14 points from Kimani Hamilton and another 14 points from Kezza Giffa. Kezza Giffa contributed 5 assists, while Juslin Bodo Bodo cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Winthrop got 14 points from Kasen Harrison in a losing cause and another 13 points from Kelton Talford. Kasen Harrison contributed 2 assists for them, while Kelton Talford had 6 rebounds.
High Point was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
High Point had a 42-25 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, High Point takes its act on the road to face Presbyterian looking for another win. For Winthrop, they head home to face Presbyterian.
