East-West Falls 96-49 to Western Illinois - Recap
The battle between Western Illinois and East-West didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as East-West was handed a 96-49 defeat on Friday at Western Hall.
Western Illinois got 24 points from Marko Maletic and another 20 points from Julius Rollins. Sean Smith contributed 10 assists, while Sean Smith cleaned the glass with 16 rebounds.
East-West got 16 points from Jaha Jackson in a losing cause and another 10 points from Vasean Daniels. Jaha Jackson contributed 5 assists for them, while Gerald Tate had 4 rebounds.
Western Illinois was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Western Illinois won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 60-15.
Next game, Western Illinois takes its act on the road to face South Dakota looking for another win. For East-West, they head on the road to face Northern Illinois.
