Diamond Head Classic - College of Charleston Defeats Charlotte 84-81 - Recap
College of Charleston got 32 points and 14 rebounds from Ante Brzovic en route to a 84-81 victory over Charlotte on Wednesday at SimpliFI Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
College of Charleston did not, however, defeat Charlotte against the spread, which closed at -5.5 at most sportsbooks.
College of Charleston got 17 points from AJ Smith and another 15 points from Deywilk Tavarez. CJ Fulton contributed 7 assists, while Ante Brzovic cleaned the glass with 14 rebounds.
Charlotte got 23 points from Jaehshon Thomas in a losing cause and another 14 points from Nik Graves. Nik Graves contributed 5 assists for them, while Giancarlo Rosado had 9 rebounds.
College of Charleston was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
College of Charleston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 40-32.
Next game, College of Charleston takes its act home to face Hampton looking for another win. For Charlotte, they head home to face Tulane.
