Purdue got 30 points from Trey Kaufman-Renn en route to a 76-71 victory over USC on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Purdue won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -10.5-point spread.
Fletcher Loyer had 14 points for Purdue and Braden Smith chipped in with 12 points. Braden Smith had 9 assists for them, while Camden Heide was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
USC got 18 points from Desmond Claude in a losing cause and another 13 points from Wesley Yates III. Saint Thomas contributed 4 assists for them, while Wesley Yates III had 7 rebounds.
Purdue was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
