Calgary Defeats Toronto 29-2 - Recap
Toronto couldn't hang with the Stampeders on Saturday as Calgary blasted the Argonauts 29-2 in Week 17 action at McMahon Stadium.
Calgary won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -4.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 51.0.
Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 92 yards, while Peyton Logan added 49 yards in the win. Reggie Begelton and Richie Sindani added 43 and 41 receiving yards respectively.
A.J. Ouellette rushed for 66 yards for Toronto, while Chad Kelly added 12 yards. McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw for 194 yards for the Argonauts, while receivers DaVaris Daniels and Cam Phillips had 51 and 43 yards respectively.
Toronto was outgained by Calgary 336-296 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-16 by the Stampeders.
Toronto led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:18-29:42 split in that important category.
