Alouettes vs REDBLACKS Final: 25-24 - Recap
Caleb Evans sliced and diced the REDBLACKS defense for 333 yards and 2 TDs as Montreal handed Ottawa a 25-24 defeat on Saturday at TD Place Stadium.
The Alouettes won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -1.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Caleb Evans completed 24 of 36 pass attempts for 333 yards and 2 TDs for the Alouettes in the win.
Devonte Williams rushed for 64 yards for Ottawa, while Dustin Crum added 42 yards. Dustin Crum threw for 130 yards for the REDBLACKS, while receivers Shaq Evans and Justin Hardy had 41 and 37 yards respectively.
Ottawa lost the offensive yardage battle to Montreal 416-303 yards in Saturday's game. Montreal had more first downs as that total ended up 22-17.
The time of possession battle favored Montreal as their offense was on the field for 30:52, longer than the 29:08 of their opponents.
Montreal looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blue Bombers. The REDBLACKS will aim to get back on the winning track at Edmonton.
