Recap - Alouettes Defeat Calgary 28-11
Caleb Evans ran through the Calgary defense for 2 TDs as Montreal handed the Stampeders a 28-11 defeat on Saturday at McMahon Stadium.
The Alouettes were a +1.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 48.0.
William Stanback rushed for 81 yards, while Cody Fajardo added 11 yards in the win. Tyson Philpot and Tyler Snead added 87 and 83 receiving yards respectively.
Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 70 yards for Calgary, while Dedrick Mills added 35 yards. Jake Maier threw for 271 yards for the Stampeders, while receivers Reggie Begelton and Marken Michel had 109 and 56 yards respectively.
Montreal lost the offensive yardage battle to Calgary 396-358 yards in Saturday's game. Calgary had more first downs as that total ended up 27-22.
Montreal lost the time of possession battle 32:00-28:00, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Montreal looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the REDBLACKS. The Stampeders will aim to get back on the winning track at Hamilton.
