Blue Bombers Fall 27-12 Against Montreal - Game Recap

Montreal won 27-12 on Thursday against Winnipeg behind a 141-yard receiving performance from Tyson Philpot at IG Field.

The Alouettes were a +8.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 48.0.

Walter Fletcher rushed for 36 yards, while Cody Fajardo added 23 yards in the win. Tyson Philpot and Tyler Snead added 141 and 62 receiving yards respectively.

Brady Oliveira rushed for 38 yards for Winnipeg, while Chris Streveler added 32 yards. Zach Collaros threw for 209 yards for the Blue Bombers, while receivers Dalton Schoen and Drew Wolitarsky had 62 and 33 yards respectively.

Winnipeg lost the offensive yardage battle to Montreal 327-301 yards in Thursday's game. Winnipeg had more first downs as that total ended up 17-15.

Winnipeg lost the time of possession battle 32:52-27:08, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Montreal heads into a Week 2 battle against the Elks. Winnipeg, meanwhile, will have their next action against Ottawa.
