Winnipeg Falls 26-24 to Lions - Recap

Vernon Adams Jr. led the way with 398 passing yards on Friday as the Lions picked up a 26-24 victory over the Blue Bombers at IG Field.

British Columbia was the ATS victor, as they covered the +3.0-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 51.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Vernon Adams Jr. completed 21 of 33 pass attempts for 398 yards and 2 TDs for the Lions in the win.

Brady Oliveira rushed for 64 yards for Winnipeg, while Chris Streveler added 24 yards. Zach Collaros threw for 247 yards for the Blue Bombers, while receivers Nic Demski and Drew Wolitarsky had 94 and 72 yards respectively.

British Columbia outgained Winnipeg 505-349 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-22 by the Blue Bombers.

Winnipeg lost the time of possession battle 31:15-28:45, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, British Columbia takes its act home to face Edmonton looking for another win. For Winnipeg, they head on the road to face Calgary.
