Recap - Roughriders Defeat Toronto 30-23

Saskatchewan earned a 30-23 victory over Toronto on Thursday in Week 5 action at Mosaic Stadium.

Saskatchewan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +4.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 47.0.

A.J. Ouellette rushed for 69 yards, while Shea Patterson added 18 yards in the win. Samuel Emilus and Kian Schaffer-Baker added 54 and 43 receiving yards respectively.

Cameron Dukes rushed for 47 yards for Toronto, while Ka'Deem Carey added 39 yards. Cameron Dukes threw for 206 yards for the Argonauts, while receivers Damonte Coxie and Rasheed Bailey had 76 and 66 yards respectively.

Saskatchewan lost the offensive yardage battle to Toronto 327-285 yards in Thursday's game. Toronto had more first downs as that total ended up 22-14.

The time of possession battle favored Saskatchewan as their offense was on the field for 30:28, longer than the 29:32 of their opponents.

Next game, Saskatchewan takes its act on the road to face British Columbia looking for another win. For Toronto, they head on the road to face Montreal.
