Saskatchewan Defeats Winnipeg 19-9 - Recap

The Blue Bombers were burned by Ajou Ajou for 110 receiving yards on Friday as the Roughriders picked up a 19-9 win at Mosaic Stadium.

Saskatchewan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +5.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 50.5.

AJ Ouellette rushed for 88 yards, while Shea Patterson added 35 yards in the win. Ajou Ajou and Kian Schaffer-Baker added 110 and 60 receiving yards respectively.

Brady Oliveira rushed for 49 yards for Winnipeg, while Zach Collaros added 9 yards. Zach Collaros threw for 266 yards for the Blue Bombers, while receivers Brady Oliveira and Nic Demski had 80 and 56 yards respectively.

Winnipeg lost the offensive yardage battle to Saskatchewan 393-331 yards in Friday's game. Saskatchewan had more first downs as that total ended up 19-14.

Winnipeg lost the time of possession battle 32:23-27:37, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Saskatchewan takes its act on the road to face Montreal looking for another win. For Winnipeg, they head on the road to face Toronto.
