Calgary Falls 37-16 to Elks - Recap

The battle between the Elks and Stampeders didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Calgary was handed a 37-16 defeat on Saturday at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium.

Edmonton was a favorite by -3.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 50.5.

Kevin Brown rushed for 91 yards, while Javon Leake added 55 yards in the win. Eugene Lewis and Hergy Mayala added 97 and 71 receiving yards respectively.

Dedrick Mills rushed for 65 yards for Calgary, while Peyton Logan added 25 yards. Logan Bonner threw for 284 yards for the Stampeders, while receivers Reggie Begelton and Jalen Philpot had 123 and 57 yards respectively.

Edmonton outgained Calgary 432-387 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-22 by the Elks.

The time of possession battle favored Calgary as their offense was on the field for 30:07, longer than the 29:53 of their opponents.

Edmonton looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blue Bombers. The Stampeders will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Montreal.
