Roughriders Down British Columbia 39-8 - Match Report

The battle between the Roughriders and Lions didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as British Columbia was handed a 39-8 defeat on Saturday at Mosaic Stadium.

Saskatchewan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -2.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 51.5.

AJ Ouellette rushed for 84 yards, while Thomas Bertrand-Hudon added 18 yards in the win. Samuel Emilus and Jerreth Sterns added 94 and 60 receiving yards respectively.

William Stanback rushed for 35 yards for British Columbia, while David Mackie added 8 yards. Nathan Rourke threw for 200 yards for the Lions, while receivers Justin McInnis and Ayden Eberhardt had 119 and 44 yards respectively.

British Columbia lost the offensive yardage battle to Saskatchewan 375-342 yards in Saturday's game. Saskatchewan had more first downs as that total ended up 25-19.

Saskatchewan led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:55-26:05 split in that important category.

Saskatchewan heads into a Week 21 battle against the Stampeders. British Columbia, meanwhile, will have their next action against Montreal.
