Wildcats Down Vanderbilt 38-35 - Match Report
Chris Rodriguez Jr. tore up the turf for 149 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Wildcats to a 38-35 win over the Commodores at Kroger Field.
Kentucky won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -17.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 41.5.
Chris Rodriguez Jr. rushed for 149 yards, while Terry Wilson added 83 yards in the win. Keaton Upshaw and DeMarcus Harris added 41 and 33 receiving yards respectively.
Keyon Henry-Brooks rushed for 121 yards for Vanderbilt, while Mitchell Pryor added 29 yards. Ken Seals threw for 225 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Amir Abdur-Rahman and Chris Pierce Jr. had 89 and 53 yards respectively.
Kentucky outgained Vanderbilt 458-407 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 29-23 by the Commodores.
Vanderbilt led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:26-27:34 split in that important category.
Kentucky heads into a Week 12 battle against Alabama. Vanderbilt, meanwhile, will have their next action against Florida.
