Clemson Defeats Wake Forest 37-13 - Recap
Trevor Lawrence's 351-yard performance through the air was the key in Clemson's 37-13 win over Wake Forest on Saturday at Truist Field.
The Tigers earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -34.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 59.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Trevor Lawrence completed 22 of 28 pass attempts for 351 yards for the Tigers in the win.
Christian Beal-Smith rushed for 29 yards for Wake Forest, while Kenneth Walker III added 19 yards. Mitch Griffis threw for 28 yards for the Demon Deacons, while receivers Taylor Morin and Jaquarii Roberson had 93 and 92 yards respectively.
Clemson outgained Wake Forest 561-330 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-15 by the Tigers.
Wake Forest lost the time of possession battle 34:44-25:16, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Clemson takes its act home to face The Citadel looking for another win. For Wake Forest, they head on the road to face NC State.
