Mustangs Fall 28-24 Against Tulsa - Game Recap

Zach Smith threw for 325 yards to lead the Golden Hurricane over SMU 28-24 on Saturday in Week 11 action at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium.

The Golden Hurricane were a +2.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 63.5.

Zach Smith completed 26 of 38 pass attempts for 325 yards for the Golden Hurricane in the win.

Ulysses Bentley IV rushed for 103 yards for SMU, while Tyler Lavine added 30 yards. Shane Buechele threw for 200 yards for the Mustangs, while receivers Danny Gray and Rashee Rice had 93 and 57 yards respectively.

SMU was outgained by Tulsa 455-351 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-25 by the Golden Hurricane.

SMU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:42-29:18 split in that important category.

Next game, Tulsa takes its act home to face Tulane looking for another win. For SMU, they head home to face Houston.
