Rebels Fall 40-27 Against Fresno State - Game Recap
Ronnie Rivers scampered through the UNLV defense for 133 yards as Fresno State handed the Rebels a 40-27 defeat on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium.
Fresno State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -11.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 57.5.
Ronnie Rivers rushed for 133 yards, while Jake Haener added 79 yards in the win. Ronnie Rivers and Keric Wheatfall added 99 and 65 receiving yards respectively.
Max Gilliam rushed for 139 yards for UNLV, while Charles Williams added 89 yards. Max Gilliam threw for 160 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Kyle Williams and Tyleek Collins had 52 and 43 yards respectively.
Fresno State outgained UNLV 487-402 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-19 by the Bulldogs.
UNLV led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:25-29:35 split in that important category.
