UNLV Falls 38-30 to Bulldogs - Recap
Jake Haener sliced and diced the Rebels defense for 378 yards as Fresno State handed UNLV a 38-30 defeat on Friday at Bulldog Stadium.
The Bulldogs won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -30.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Jake Haener completed 30 of 42 pass attempts for 378 yards for the Bulldogs in the win.
Charles Williams rushed for 102 yards for UNLV, while Doug Brumfield added 39 yards. Doug Brumfield threw for 143 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Charles Williams and Tyleek Collins had 96 and 88 yards respectively.
Fresno State outgained UNLV 461-433 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 23-18 by the Bulldogs.
The time of possession battle favored UNLV as their offense was on the field for 31:36, longer than the 28:24 of their opponents.
Fresno State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Hawaii. UNLV will aim to get back on the winning track at UTSA.
