Cardinals Fall 30-29 Against NIU - Game Recap

Jay Ducker ran for 155 yards as NIU handled Ball State by a score of 30-29 on Wednesday at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium.

NIU was the ATS victor, as they covered the +2.5-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 59.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Jay Ducker rushed for 155 yards, while Rocky Lombardi added 30 yards in the win. Trayvon Rudolph and Cole Tucker added 108 and 103 receiving yards respectively.

Carson Steele rushed for 109 yards for Ball State, while Justin Hall added 79 yards. Drew Plitt threw for 126 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Jalen McGaughy and Jayshon Jackson had 45 and 34 yards respectively.

Ball State lost the offensive yardage battle to NIU 475-372 yards in Wednesday's game. NIU had more first downs as that total ended up 26-17.

Ball State lost the time of possession battle 36:44-23:16, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

NIU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Buffalo. Ball State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Central Michigan.
