Rebels Fall 28-20 Against San Diego State - Game Recap
San Diego State earned a 28-20 victory over UNLV on Friday in Week 12 action at Allegiant Stadium.
San Diego State did not, however, defeat the Rebels against the spread, which closed at -11.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 41.0.
Greg Bell rushed for 58 yards, while Jordan Byrd added 46 yards in the win. Elijah Kothe and Jesse Matthews added 84 and 75 receiving yards respectively.
Charles Williams rushed for 35 yards for UNLV, while Justin Rogers added 3 yards. Justin Rogers threw for 305 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Steve Jenkins and Charles Williams had 176 and 59 yards respectively.
San Diego State was outgained by UNLV 394-290 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 15-14 by the Aztecs.
The time of possession battle favored UNLV as their offense was on the field for 30:10, longer than the 29:49 of their opponents.
Next game, San Diego State takes its act home to face Boise State looking for another win. For UNLV, they head on the road to face Air Force.
