Volunteers Fall 27-13 Against Georgia - Game Recap

The Volunteers came up short against the Bulldogs in Week 10 action on Saturday, falling 27-13 at Sanford Stadium.

Georgia won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -9.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 65.5.

Kenny McIntosh rushed for 52 yards, while Daijun Edwards added 46 yards in the win. Ladd McConkey and Kenny McIntosh added 94 and 57 receiving yards respectively.

Jaylen Wright rushed for 69 yards for Tennessee, while Hendon Hooker added 17 yards. Hendon Hooker threw for 195 yards for the Volunteers, while receivers Cedric Tillman and Jalin Hyatt had 68 and 63 yards respectively.

Tennessee lost the offensive yardage battle to Georgia 387-289 yards in Saturday's game. Tennessee had more first downs as that total ended up 21-18.

Tennessee lost the time of possession battle 31:00-29:00, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Georgia takes its act on the road to face Mississippi State looking for another win. For Tennessee, they head home to face Missouri.
