USC Defeats California 41-35 - Recap
Caleb Williams was good for 360 yards through the air on Saturday as the Trojans got past the Golden Bears by a score of 41-35 at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The Trojans won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -21.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Caleb Williams completed 26 of 41 pass attempts for 360 yards for the Trojans in the win.
Jaydn Ott rushed for 50 yards for California, while DeCarlos Brooks added 23 yards. Jack Plummer threw for 406 yards for the Golden Bears, while receivers Jeremiah Hunter and Mavin Anderson had 102 and 87 yards respectively.
California lost the offensive yardage battle to USC 515-469 yards in Saturday's game. USC had more first downs as that total ended up 24-22.
California led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:56-28:04 split in that important category.
Next game, USC takes its act home to face Colorado looking for another win. For California, they head on the road to face Oregon State.
