New Mexico Falls 31-14 to Broncos - Recap
Boise State earned a 31-14 victory over New Mexico on Friday in Week 2 action at University Stadium.
Even though Boise State won, nobody won at the betting window as the game was a push (based on the closing point spread of -17.0. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 43.5.
Ashton Jeanty rushed for 72 yards, while George Holani added 67 yards in the win. Billy Bowens and Cole Wright added 50 and 47 receiving yards respectively.
Sherod White rushed for 22 yards for New Mexico, while Bobby Wooden added 15 yards. Miles Kendrick threw for 98 yards for the Lobos, while receivers Geordan Porter and Luke Wysong had 73 and 16 yards respectively.
New Mexico lost the offensive yardage battle to Boise State 318-123 yards in Friday's game. Boise State had more first downs as that total ended up 15-8.
Boise State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:49-26:11 split in that important category.
Next game, Boise State takes its act home to face Tennessee-Martin looking for another win. For New Mexico, they head home to face UTEP.
